I left Lincoln for law school. If all of the things you are planning get done, I might be able to convince my significant other that we ought to settle in Lincoln down the line. This is an exciting project. Thank you for all of your efforts.

I am very excited about the initiative being shown by the private sector here in Lincoln. It seems as though bureaucracy and red-tape have hampered progress here for far too long. Hopefully this will be a good first step towards creating a more inviting, progressive, and development-friendly environment.

These ideas are exactly what Lincoln needs to become a vibrant, exciting city which will attract new companies and spur economic development. These ideas will help to make Lincoln a more attractive place for young people. I am particularly excited about a new arena and the retail corridor. A new arena could give us the opportunity to attract events similar to some that are going to the Qwest Center. Some musical artists prefer to play college towns. Madison, Boulder, and Burlington, Vermont all have charming pedestrian areas with shops and restaurants. It is the perfect type of area to have next to campus. I encourage you to consider a light rail line to provide mass transit downtown. They have been very successful in Denver, Minneapolis, and Portland. Kansas City voted for one. It could be expanded if successful. People who won't ride a bus will ride light rail or subways. It is costly, but I think it is likely in the next few years that the federal government will have more funds available for cities trying to conserve energy by improving mass transit. I hope I can be involved in helping to develop and promote these ideas.

This is what Lincoln needs.

I attended the Monday night presentation and am supportive of the efforts to provide vision for concrete ways to improve Lincoln. My support comes from many perspectives: downtown resident, downtown worker, arts advocate, university grad and supporter, and as a person who is supportive of the concepts that have been presented in the 10 Pillars. Thank you for your leadership.

We would like to know how we can help further this great vision. We feel it is a definite facelift that the city needs in order to survive in the future. For if it does not occur, the city might slowly perish economically and culturally. My husband has interests especially in planning, and finance. My interests lie in marketing, R&D, and grant writing (or any kind of writing as far as that goes) Please contact us if you are in need of individuals to help in any way.

This is a great start for Lincoln. I'm excited to see how much interest and participation it has generated!

Bravo!!! The vision is bold in its reach and elegant in its design. My compliments and my support. I will do all that I can to move our community forward to this vision....especially in the area of entrepreneurship. As you are finding out, authentic leadership is not a popular endeavor. Please keep the faith and stay the course. Do not let the naysayers and squeaky wheels who have been able to divert political leadership, do the same to you. All of Lincoln, for generations to come will benefit from your willingness to take the lead and get out your personal checkbooks.

I'm so excited about the possibilities this group is embracing. I love this city & recognize its need to grow and adapt as we move forward.

Looks like there are some great ideas here! Let me know what I can do. I'm just starting a business in Lincoln, and want to see Lincoln grow and prosper in the coming years!

I am a local business owner and an active member of the young professionals group here in Lincoln. I would be happy to assist and participate in any way that I can.

Enjoyed the informative meeting at Scott Middle School--am behind the vision 100%.

Hi! I'm a Lincoln native (East High '02) out east now at Yale Law School.  I caught wind of 2015 Vision from my parents back home, and from what I've been able to read the project looks very exciting. One large issue in my mind is boosting Lincoln's cultural vitality.  I love my hometown, but I also love the excitement of intellectual and cultural crossroads I've found out east and abroad.  Husker football is great, but at a certain point a person wants to talk about other things!  I was glad to see an art and humanities focus in at least one of the pillars.  These kinds of things will be important, I imagine, for attracting Nebraskans back home who've gone away for education. Thanks for spearheading such an important and visionary initiative!

As a young professional living in the downtown community, I would like to be involved in the future of the city and the downtown area. I believe that my thoughts and views on issues can be helpful in an overall strategy of implementing the plans for the future.
